Decline tops 112 billion miles in past 13 months
America's trend of declining driving started its second year with a loss of 12.9 billion vehicle-miles traveled, or 5.3 percent less, in November 2008 compared to the same month a year earlier. It is the largest such decline of any November since monthly data estimates began in 1971. Full Story

This year's event will include three performances
Celebrate the Edison Festival of Light and help feed the hungry by attending "Mrs. Edison's Hymn Sing" Tues., Feb. 3, at The First Presbyterian Church of Fort Myers. It's the 20th year of the hymn sing that has attracted larger audiences each year. More than 4,000 people attended last year when two performances accommodated the standing room only crowd.
