Taylor Morrison announces plans for Tortuga's Island Club

COURTESY PHOTO Tortuga Island Club COURTESY PHOTO Tortuga Island Club Taylor Morrison has unveiled plans for the Island Club, the centerpiece of its new Tortuga community located off Gladiolus Drive in Fort Myers.

The Island Club will encompass approximately 3,000 square feet under air and will be the social hub of Tortuga, featuring resort style pool and spa, fitness center, and meeting and gathering spaces for residents.

Upon completion, the 46.9-acre Tortuga community will include 368 garden homes in two different neighborhoods featuring two-bedroom plus den and twobedroom designs offering 1,508 square feet of living area. Tile roofs and GE appliance packages are included with each residence. Homes in Tortuga are priced from the low-$100,000s.

Highlighted by Bermudian architectural influences, Tortuga encompasses five acres of lakes and more than five acres of preserves to reflect the carefree Southwest Florida lifestyle sought out by first-time homebuyers, busy professionals and part-time or seasonal residents. The community will also feature a tennis court and dog park.
