B&B Italia Outdoor opens at IDC
B&B Italia Outdoor's new Canasta line of furniture at the International Design Center features intricate woven patterns inspired by traditional Vienna straw and interpreted in a contemporary way. B&B Italia Outdoor has opened a showroom in Suite 156 at the International Design Center dedicated exclusively to a new collection of outdoor furniture.
Designed by Patricia Urquiola, Canasta is the current collection on display, presenting a decisively contemporary look with this line. The seating elements were inspired by the conical shape and weave that is similar to baskets, hence the name Canasta (the Spanish word for "basket").
Ms. Urquiola approached the design creating intricate woven patterns with the influence of traditional Vienna straw and realized with a modern interpretation. The seating range is completed with cushions in several different fabric combinations especially created for outdoor use. The collection is enriched by a series of tables. Ideal for the swimming pool area or the lawn, the chairs and tables are like pieces of "land art" that harmonize with the surrounding scenery.
B&B Italia is the leading manufacturer in contemporary European furnishings and has carried over to their field of outdoor design a concept that evolves with the different tastes and trends of today's traditional and contemporary culture. B&B Italia Outdoor invites trade professionals as well as the public to their new showroom. For more information, visit the showroom, call 949-8200 or e-mail info@maxaltonaples. com.
