Kira Krümm Interior Design debuts 'Yin Room' at Designer Showcase

COURTESY PHOTO Krümm Kira Krümm Interior Design prepares to debut its Master Suite "Yin Room" at Southwest Florida Symphony Society's 16th annual Designer Showcase held at the International Design Center on Saturday, Jan. 17.

"This year we redesigned our Master Suite to exemplify our talent for interior renovation and design as well as showcase our new bed and bath collections," said Kira Krümm. "We completely transformed the space, formerly the 'Shanghai Room,' while utilizing many of the existing elements. The bedroom is a haven, a very special personal place to escape our hectic lives, rest, relax and dream.

"The inspiration for our room comes from nature and my constant quest for balance in my life and work. The intellectual concept comes from my deep appreciation for Eastern culture and philosophy and the concept of yin and yang used to describe how seemingly opposing forces are intertwined. Yin is femininity, soft and restful and symbolized by the moon."

The Grand Opening Preview Gala will be held on Jan. 17, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Guests will be able to preview more than 5,000 square feet of innovative ideas and diverse styles, presented by some of Florida's finest designers. Enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres and music from members of the Southwest Florida Symphony with special guest Maestro Michael Hall. Tickets are $65 with proceeds benefiting the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

The Showcase will be available to the public Jan. 19 to April 11, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $20 and will benefit the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. Call 390-5111 for tickets.
