Tap dance classes form at Alliance for the Arts
Dance instructor and choreographer Lori Madl is holding adult beginning and intermediate level tap dance classes at the Alliance for the Arts. The beginning adult tap class is Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. and is for newcomers to tap dance. It will cover the basic building blocks of common tap dance steps. The intermediate and advanced classes are Monday from 7 to 8 p.m., and are for the tapper who just wants to get back into "hoofing." Class will consist of a comprehensive warmup, technique, and various combinations. Classes will be held in two five week sessions: Session 1 is Jan. 26 - Feb. 23; session 2 is March 2 - 30.
Ms. Madl, a nationally awarded tapper, received her bachloler's in dance from the University of Kansas. She is on staff at the Alliance for the Arts.
