Fox News host Chris Wallace headlines speaker series

Shell Point announces inaugural event

Veteran journalist and Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace will speak in the inaugural Shell Point Retirement Community Speaker Series. The series also includes international oil expert Dr. Kent Moors, Ph.D. and Shroud of Turin photographer Barrie M. Schwortz. All residents of Southwest Florida are invited to attend, but tickets are required. The presentations will be held in The Village Church auditorium on the Island at Shell. Tickets are sold as a subscription to the entire Speaker Series, and they are on sale for $90. To purchase tickets or receive additional information about the series, call 454-2067.

The series will be presented:

Friday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. - Kent Moors, Ph.D.

The international oil policy expert will discuss the fluctuations in oil prices. Just a few months ago, oil prices were at an all-time high and availability was becoming a major national concern. Now, gas prices are dropping due to a worldwide credit crisis and volatility in the energy markets. Dr. Moor's highly engaging and timely presentation will focus on how the approaching worldwide recession will create a new stage in the global oil crisis. He will apply his decades of international experience to the questions of why the next wave of price changes in oil products will be even more volatile, and what we must do as a nation to meet this latest crisis.

Moors Moors Dr. Moors will answer the following questions:

• How much oil is left?

• Why are oil prices rising?

• What can the public and the government do about it?

Schwortz Schwortz The Shroud of Turin is a centuries old linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man, a man that millions believe to be Jesus of Nazareth. Is it really the cloth that wrapped his crucified body, or is it simply a medieval forgery, a hoax perpetrated by some clever artist? Modern science has completed hundreds of thousands of hours of detailed study and intense research on the Shroud. It is, in fact, the most studied artifact in human history.
