French French Kim French, vice president of clients, and

Rob Humpel, vice president, Southwest Florida region for Mathews Construction, recently addressed the annual meeting of the Florida Business Incubation Association in Orlando. Messers French and Humpel spoke on the subject of controlling construction costs and insuring the financial success of business incubation projects. The Mathews team was invited to speak to the group of university and municipal leaders involved with business incubation as a result of the successful completion of the Southwest Florida Enterprise Center for the City of Fort Myers. The twobuilding center serves as the hub for the local effort to assist start-up business enterprises within Fort Myers. It offers 40,000 square feet of space for executive offices, a commercial and industrial center and a training center, as well as government offices.

Joy Ready has joined J.L. Wallace Inc. as a project manager assistant. In this role, she will work closely with project managers to help coordinate a wide range of construction-related job functions from permitting through project completion. Ms. Ready holds a master's degree in urban planning from the University of Illinois and a bachelor of arts degree in graphic design from Murray State University. Ms. Ready has more than 20 years professional experience in land-use planning and community participation projects. She has worked both locally and internationally.
