The public is invited to attend the next in a series of exciting and informative seminars presented by the International Design Center. All are free and open to the public.

. "Feng Shui for Business Success" - Jan. 10, at 2 p.m.

Learn how to create spatial harmony in your office, retail space, showroom, business surroundings or in your home office using the ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui, presented by Sarasota Design Professional Jeannie Bloomfield. Find out how to align your environment with nature's healing forces, clear your space, and improve energy. Sponsored by Azar Gallery Fine Rugs.

. "Meet the Artists Selected for Artscape" - Jan. 10, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Meet the artists whose artworks have been selected for the Artescape Florida West 2009 Juried Fine Art and Fine Craft Exhibition I, the first exhibition in a series of three art competitions featuring two- and three-dimensional artworks at the Florida West Arts Showroom/ Gallery. The artworks include a variety of two and three dimensional pieces, significant of what is current in art in America today. The exhibition will continue through Jan. 27. Participating artists are competing for a series of awards.

. "Mixing Your Family Antiques with New Design" - Jan. 17, at 2 p.m.

Linda Peterson, director of industry and community relations at Southwest Florida College, will present tips on how to blend old and new Florida designs and incorporate family heirlooms into your home. Sponsored by the Institute of Interior Design.

. "Working with Floor Plans" - Jan. 24, at 2 p.m.

Learn how to measure your current furnishings and see how they will work in your new home before shipping them to Florida, presented by Linda Peterson, director of industry and community relations at Southwest Florida College. Sponsored by the Institute of Interior Design.

. "Meet Artist Regis Bobitski" - Jan. 24, from 1 to 4 p.m.

See an exhibition of paintings by artist Regis Bobitski and watch him demonstrate his techniques. Mr. Bobitski's oil painting include Mediterranean scenes, American landscapes, florals and other still lifes. Sponsored by Florida West Arts.

. "Go Green with Window Treatments" - Jan. 30, at 2 p.m.

"It's easy to be green," said Roseanne Marconi of Go Green Décor. Learn how to go green with your window treatments in this presentation which uses Kravet Green environmentally conscious textiles. Sponsored by Kravet.
