Goodwill opens donation center at Gulf Coast Town Center

Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida is hoping that people grow to think of the Gulf Coast Town Center as a place to donate, as well as shop. Goodwill has opened a new Attended Donation Center at the popular outdoor mall.

"We are very pleased to announce that Goodwill Industries has joined Gulf Coast Town Center as an alternative drop-off location," said Ashleigh Henry, marketing director for Gulf Coast Town Center. "As one of the largest and most exclusive shopping destinations in Southwest Florida, we strive to provide our shoppers with an array of unique retail, dining, and entertainment options. As we continue to exceed our shoppers' every expectation, having Goodwill Industries on property adds to the complete destination and lifestyle experience at Gulf Coast Town Center."

The Gulf Coast Town Center ADC is Goodwill's sixth in Southwest Florida. Other donation sites include ADCs in North Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, and Fort Myers. The organization has recently opened another new ADC near the Edison Mall. All Goodwill ADCs are open daily and staffed from 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Goodwill accepts donations of new and gently-used clothing and household items at its ADCs. Proceeds earned from the resale of donated items are used to support Goodwill's programs and services, including six Job-Link offices, 12 apartment complexes for people with disabilities and for low-income seniors, the Four Wheels for Work vehicle assistance program, and a charter school for students with developmental disabilities.
