Drew McCarley, an 18-year veteran of the restaurant industry, has joined
Aurelio's Pizza (set to open Jan. 5) in the Gulf Coast Town Center as general manager. In his new role as general manager, Mr. McCarley will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the 210- seat pizzeria, profit and loss reconciliation, supervising lunch and dinner staffs, developing group sales and community outreach — a core principle of the 50-year-old thin crust Chicagostyle pizza company's commitment to its local community.
Bayfront Bistro has hired Mike Wilke, Marvin Avilez, Dave Wood, and Kevin Decker to form the management team of its new waterfront restaurant on Fort Myers Beach. Bayfront Bistro, located within Snook Bight Yacht Club & Marina's newly developed $22 million facility, plans to open to the public mid-January, with an experienced management team in place. General Manager Wilke is the former general manager of Zampieri's in Destin, which was a Florida Top 20 winner in 2006 and 2007. Head Chef Avilez was formerly head chef at the popular Harold's On The Bay in downtown Fort Myers. Assistant Manager Wood and Sous Chef Decker round out the team of more than 60 years of restaurant management experience.
