Colonial Bank fulfills 150 children's Christmas wishes this season

Colonial Bank employees and customers joined forces to make the holiday season brighter by providing gifts to 150 children through the Children's Home Society of Florida.

Colonial Bank hosted Angel Trees at several area offices asking employees and customers for donations of toys for children living in foster care. Donations for all 150 children were collected well in advance of the program deadline for delivery to the foster care families before the holidays.

"Especially in light of the challenging economy, it was uplifting to see our employees and customers react so quickly and generously to provide holiday gifts for disadvantaged children," said Harlan C. Parrish, retail president and CEO of Colonial Bank's Florida West Coast region.

The Southwest Division of the Children's Home Society of Florida serves families in Lee, Charlotte, Collier, Hendry and Glades counties. The organization focuses on prevention and intervention to help decrease the incidence of child abuse and neglect.
