Stevens Construction Inc. has completed construction of the Florida Hospital Heartland medical office building and ambulatory surgery center. The 40,351-square-foot project included a build-out of a 13,137-square-foot ambulatory surgery center and a 5,000-squarefoot prenatal Women's Wellness Center, within the Florida Hospital Heartland medical office building. Designed by Christopher Nemethy of HuntonBrady Architects, the new ASC features four operating rooms, six pre-operating beds, eight step-down recovery beds, 10 recovery beds, two procedure rooms and support areas. The remainder of the first floor and a portion of the second floor will house medical offices.

Compass Construction, Inc. of Cape Coral has been contracted by Shoot Staright Fort Myers Holding Co. to complete the construction of its new gun range and store to be located at the corner of Colonial Boulevard and Fowler Street in Fort Myers. Work consists of the renovation of the existing 10,000-square-foot building that at one time was the old college of hair design. Shoot Straight is located throughout the state and will be constructing a stateof the-art environmentally friendly gun range and gun sales building. The building will be completely renovated both on the interior and exterior. An old west theme has been designed. Brad Neidigh will serve as project manager for the project and Joe Luft will serve as onsite superintendent to oversee the daily activities.

. Owen-Ames-Kimball Company has completed construction of Florida Gulf Coast University's Resort and Hospitality Management building at the Fort Myers campus. Built to house the degree program for resort and hospitality management, the 40,000-square-foot building provides a resort-like setting with a reception/lobby area, a cyber café, a large conference room, a golf management instructional area, classrooms and offices for faculty and staff. Construction of this two-story building included provisions for future additions to the resort and hospitality hands-on learning environment with ballrooms, a commercial kitchen, a wine-tasting area, a spa and executive dining rooms. The OAK construction team consisted of John Tartaglia as job site superintendent, Ken Gentry as the project manager and Patrick Conran as the general superintendent.
