CROW launches T-shirt design contest
The Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife invites students in kindergarten through 12th grade to enter a T-shirt design contest in celebration of its upcoming 40th anniversary and the grand opening of its new Visitor Education Center and wildlife hospital.
The winning T-shirt design will make its debut at the grand opening event on Jan. 25, 2009, and shirts will be for sale at CROW's gift shop throughout 2009 to raise funds for the nonprofit organization.
"We are really excited about this contest, which is part of a much larger education initiative, and we think it's a great way to teach our youth about wildlife and get them involved with CROW," said Dr. P.J. Deitschel, clinical director and staff veterinarian.
One contest finalist will be selected from each grade level, and one winning design will be chosen from the 13 finalists. CROW will display the 13 finalists' artwork at the Visitor Education Center.
CROW encourages students to be creative with their designs, but has the following contest rules:
• Students must include a raccoon, burrowing owl and the word CROW in the design.
• Designs must be submitted on 8.5-by-11- inch white paper.
• Students must sign their design.
• T-shirt designs must be submitted by Jan. 3, 2009 with a completed application (available at www.crowclinic.org
