Salon

Chris Gehring and Jonathan "Joe" Miller have purchased Planet Hair, a hair salon in College Parkway Plaza, and turned it into a full-service salon called FLHair. The unusual twist is that both are businessmen, not hair stylists. Coming from backgrounds in the hospitality industry and property asset management, the partners approach the business from an entirely different perspective than owners of most salons. FLHair offers free WiFi in case business people want to work or check e-mail or social networks. Additional plans include offering afternoon tea, birthday parties, social evenings and other events to help bring customers together. Being a European salon, seven different languages are spoken, including English, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Austrian and Spanish.
