. Compass Construction, Inc. of Cape Coral has completed the renovation of The Helm Club at the Landings Yacht, Golf and Tennis Club in Fort Myers. The renovation consisted of the existing 25,000-square-foot clubhouse, golf and tennis shops. Construction started in June and was completed in mid-November. Amenities include a complete interior renovation, new ceilings, faux finishes, a large bar area with wood floors and wainscot walls and columns, a hi-tech lighting system, energy efficient HVAC, plumbing and electrical fixtures, new kitchen, sound system throughout the building and a surround sound theater in the large dining area. Brad Neidigh was the project manager for the project, Erin Olsen served as the project administrator and Joe Luft was the on-site superintendent.

Lee County has selected Compass Construction as its construction manager for the Bokeelia Boat Ramp renovation project. This project, located on Barrancas Avenue near the north end of Pine Island, involves renovation of an existing boat ramp facility. The existing single ramp will be removed and replaced with a double ramp; new seawalls and boat docks will be installed; storm water retention improvements will be made; and new asphalt parking and bathroom facilities will be added. Jim Smith of Compass Construction will serve as project manager for the project, and Marian Poole will be the project administrator.

. Stevens Construction Inc. has been awarded the contract for the construction of Elmquist Eye Group's office. Located at 2336 Surfside Blvd., Suite 121, Cape Coral, it's Elmquist Eye Group's third location. The facility will feature four exam rooms, two offices and an optical retail area. Construction is slated for completion in January. Lizette Martin of Stevens Construction is the project administrator, Joe Beach is the superintendent and Troy Hernly is the project manager. The architect is Peter Shawinsky of Sheeley Architects. Karen L. Benson Associates is providing the interior design.

. J.L. Wallace Inc. has completed the renovation and expansion of the WRXY television studio, located at 40000 Horseshoe Road in Punta Gorda. The project included the renovation of the station's existing 2,000-square-foot offices and the expansion of the studio by 3,876 square feet. The new building includes a stateof the-art production studio for television broadcast and commercial video production. WRXY will also use the additional space to host the Vision Video Institute, a school that will provide community training on video production, television broadcast and broadcast technology. Fred Barry of J.L. Wallace served as senior project manager, Dennis Tyeryar was superintendent and Robbyn Spears was project manager assistant.
