Edison National Bank introduces e-green checking
Earth-friendly account helps local organizations
SPECIAL TO FLORIDA WEEKLY
Edison National Bank, Lee County's oldest locally owned and managed community bank, has introduced an earth-friendly checking account, which reduces paper waste and benefits local nature and conservation-focused organizations.
A secure all-electronic way to do banking, e-green checking features electronic bank statements, direct deposit and/or automated debit, online anytime Internet banking and bill payment and a debit/ATM card. Checks printed on recycled paper are available for occasional use.
For every e-green checking account opened, Edison National Bank will make a $50 to $100 donation to the account holder's choice of one of these e-friendly organizations focused on preserving Southwest Florida's natural environment: Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium, CREW Land & Water Trust, Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW), "Ding" Darling Wildlife Society, Keep Lee County Beautiful, PURRE Water Coalition or Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation.
"We are committed to the community and want to support the causes that our customers care about," said Edison National Bank President Robbie Roepstorff. "With e-green checking, we are helping our customers simplify their banking experience while also helping the environment. We are truly honored that our first e-green checking account was opened by Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation Executive Director Erick Lindblad and his wife, Ellen, who was the executive director of the CREW Land & Water Trust for 14 years."
