Special prices offered for four concerts at Shell Point

Chanticleer Shell Point Retirement Community is offering a special price on the remaining four concerts in its seventh annual Fine and Performing Arts Concert Series. The concerts are:

. Chanticleer: Tuesday, Jan, 27 — Called "the world's reigning male chorus" by the New Yorker magazine, this San Francisco-based chorus of 12 voices is renowned for its vivid interpretations of vocal literature, from Renaissance to jazz, and from gospel to venturesome new music.

. Pianist Butch Thompson and The Chapman Family Singers: Thursday, Feb. 26 — Widely know for his 12-year stint as house pianist on public radio's "A Prairie Home Companion," Butch Thompson continues on the show as a frequent guest in addition to performing around the world as a traditional jazz and ragtime master. Also performing around the world, The Chapman Family Singers dazzle crowds with their suave style, clear melodious voices and unique family blend.

. Cherish the Ladies: Tuesday, March 17, St. Patrick's Day — Taking their name from the name of a traditional Irish jig, Cherish the Ladies initially won recognition as the first and only all-women traditional Irish band. They soon established themselves as musicians and performers without peer and have enjoyed immense popularity for the past two decades. In a blend of instrumentals and voices, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing, this powerhouse group combines all the facets of Irish traditional culture and puts it forth in a humorous and entertaining package.

Concert organist Peter Richard Conte: Thursday, April 16 — Since 1989, Peter Richard Conte has served as Grand Court Organist of the world famous Wanamaker organ in Philadelphia's Macy's department store. When not touring, he performs on the sixmanual, 28,000-pipe instrument twice daily, six days per week.

All four concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. in the performing arts hall at Shell Point.
