Opera star adds her voice to 'Messiah and More'

Matos Matos Celebrated opera singer Eleni Matos is the featured soloist with the Southwest Florida Symphony's "Messiah and More" concert performances this weekend. Mezzo soprano Ms. Matos is the winner of 33 national and international vocal competitions. She has performed in two PBS specials and on many of the world's greatest stages.

On Dec. 11, Ms. Matos lead a master class for the vocal students of Gary Stroh at Cypress Lake High School.

The "Messiah and More" concerts take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Faith United Methodist Church Fort Myers and at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at First Baptist Church in Cape Coral. Tickets will be sold at the door. For more information, call 418-1500.
