Shandor Shandor The Estero Historical Society announced a new slate of officers. Betty Shandor has been named recording secretary, John Yarbrough is the new president, Eileen Galvin was elected vice president, and Beverly Mac Nellis will serve as treasurer.

The Conservancy of Southwest Florida has named Tom Wagor, community bank president of M&I Bank's Marco Island location, to serve as chairman of the 2009 RedSnook Catch & Release Fishing Tournament.
