Spiro & Associates wins International Davey Awards
Competition recognizes creative achievement among 4,000 entries
Spiro Fort Myers-based ad agency Spiro & Associates won two awards in the 2008 Davey Awards. With more than 4,000 entries from around the world, the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies and companies worldwide.
The agency won a silver award for "Media Night Rocks," an invitation to Cru in Bell Tower Shops for working members of the news media to meet the chefs and learn more about the restaurant during its fourth anniversary; and another silver award for a corporate brochure created for Ecoverde Developer Design Solutions, a new company in Fort Myers offering "green" products primarily to buildingindustry customers.
"The Daveys is a very prestigious competition that honors the 'Creative Davids' whose strengths lie in big ideas — not big budgets," said CEO Christopher T. Spiro. "It's an honor for our creative work to be recognized in a competition against our peers worldwide."
David defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock — the sort of thing small firms do each year. The Davey Awards is sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms.
Spiro & Associates serves local, regional and national clients in the fields of automotive, land development, construction, tourism, retail, real estate, law, business and residential services, the arts, government, medicine and property management from its Fort Myers office.
