Jewelers, will celebrate its second anniversary with an Island Appreciation event on Saturday, Nov. 29, announced co-owners Karen Bell and Dan Schuyler.
In July 2006, Ms. Bell, a Sanibel-Captiva Realtor, and Mr. Schuyler, a jeweler with 28 years' experience opened the doors to Lily & Co. Jewelers, at 520 Tarpon Bay Road, in Sanibel. On Saturday, Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the pair will host an evening of celebration for members of the public, featuring food, wine, art, entertainment and jewelry.
Representatives from one of Lily's couture jewelry designers, Charles Krypell will also make an appearance. A native New Yorker, first generation jewelry designer Mr. Krypell majored in sculpture, which is apparent in the jewelry he designs today. He is known for the three-dimensionality of his pieces with great attention to detail. From his one-of-a-kind colored diamond pieces to his sterling collection there is something for every lifestyle.
Lily & Co. is Sanibel's first jewelry gallery combining a fine jewelry store and art gallery in one location. Lily & Co. namesake and spokesdog is Lily, Ms. Bell's Labradoodle who is often on site to greet customers and visitors. Mr. Schuyler's Golden Labrador Gracie and her little sister Angel frequently join Lily at the store.
