Commercial design

Gora/McGahey Associates in Architecture, in conjunction with Dave M. Jones Jr. and Associates Inc., recently provided the architectural design for Trailhead Park, a new city park located on Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard, north of Winkler Road, in Fort Myers.

The new park facilities include three shelters with picnic tables, playground areas, outdoor exercise area and restroom. The park also features a three-mile linear bike trail which links to Lee County's Ten Mile Linear Park and the Six Mile Linear Park trails.

Gora/McGahey designed the park's structures to have an "Old Florida" appearance.

Dan McGahey of Gora/McGahey Associates in Architecture served as the principal in charge, and Ramon Acevedo served as the project manager. Greg Diserio was the principal in charge and Norman Gero project manager for Dave M. Jones Jr. and Associates Inc. Compass Construction Inc. was the general contractor.
