Vaughan-Birch Cody Vaughan- Birch, of the law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., has been elected to the Special Equestrians Board of Directors. Founded in 1987, Special Equestrians, Inc. is
an all-volunteer organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding to children (as young as age two) and adults who suffer from mental and physical disabilities including cerebral palsy, down's syndrome, blindness, autism, deafness, multiple sclerosis, and chronic fatigue syndrome. As an associate in Henderson Franklin's Land Use & Environmental Law division, Mr. Vaughan-Birch works closely with his clients and their teams of professional engineers, land use planners, traffic consultants, and environmental consultants in facilitating and obtaining the necessary approvals before elected officials and governing boards of Collier, Lee, Charlotte and Hendry counties, in addition to local municipalities.
Attorney Noelle M. Melanson, with Fort Myers-based Phoenix Law, P.A., has been elected to the board of directors for The Harry Chapin Food Bank of SW Florida. The Harry Chapin
Melanson Food Bank is the collection, warehouse and distribution center providing food to 140 agencies that feed the needy in Lee, Collier, Hendry and Glades counties. Distribution this year is more than 4 million pounds of food.
