Dr. Scott E. Altschuler has joined Digestive Health Physicians, serving its Fort Myers and Bonita Springs offices. Dr. Altschuler grew up in Fort Lauderdale, and received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency training in internal medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in gastroenterology. He has a particular interest in ailments affecting the stomach, inflammatory bowel disease and the relatively new technology utilizing capsule endoscopy.

Altschuler Mark and Brandi Borg, owners of Spada Salon & Day Spa, announced the opening of their new on-site medical spa, and the appointment of Dr. Ann Lord-Tomas as Medi-Spa director. The new Medi-Spa has a physician's office, treatment room, and private waiting lounge. Spada now offers a complete salon and medi-spa experience to enhance natural beauty, and painlessly erase unwanted lines and flaws. Dr. Lord-Tomas will oversee the new line of medical aesthetic procedures and services. The new line includes Botox and other progressive fillers. B.J. Market, who was the senior skin consultant for Spada for the past eight years, was promoted to assistant Medi-Spa director and will work directly with Dr. Lord-Tomas. Dr. Lord-Tomas is a board-certified gynecologist who has spent the last several years focusing her attention in the field of medical aesthetics.
