Gora/McGahey's Buschle to speak at landscape conference
Ken Buschle, head of quality control and specifications for Gora/McGahey Associates in Architecture, has been selected to speak at the 2009 Florida American Society of Landscape Architects conference.
Mr. Buschle, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited professional, will discuss the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED green building rating system.
The ASLA is a nonprofit association for landscape architects. Nearly 600 professionals are expected to attend the annual conference, which will take place at the Sanibel Harbour Resort and Spa in July.
Mr. Buschle joined Gora/McGahey Associates in 1988 as a contract administrator. During his tenure, he has led the company's 20-year pursuit of sustainable design. He has implemented environmentally sound practices and oversees the firm's LEED certification education program. He is a member of the USGBC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, president of the local Construction Specifications Institute and a member of the Florida Green Building Coalition.
