'Holiday Joy and Jazz' Nov. 29 downtown
The City of Fort Myers invites all residents to the sights and sounds of the holiday season on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 3 to 7 p.m. in Centennial Park for "Holiday Joy and Jazz." This year's event features performances by Susie Jennings, Crazy Horse and Company plus Paul Rozmus and Renata.
Free children's activities include: a snow mountain, pony rides, a rock climbing wall, hayrides, train rides, crafts and more! Don't forget to bring your camera to take photos of the little ones with Santa Claus. Food vendors will be available.
This is your chance to do some holiday shopping, as more than 70 artists and artisans will display their works on First Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Mayor Jim Humphrey will light the city tree in Centennial Park at 7 p.m. Then everyone is invited to join the mayor and take a holiday stroll down First Street, where the holiday decorations will light up along the way. The Stroll ends at the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center, the site of the Festival of Trees, where Mayor Humphrey will light another holiday tree.
