Art Royale promises mystery and intrigue
For one night only, the Alliance for the Arts hosts its premier fundraising event, Art Royale, happening this year on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Art enthusiasts, thrill seekers and the average curious art lover will experience what participating artists describe as their creative outlet. The key is thinking outside the box as local artists team up, in conjunction with the Alliance, to present a campus wide interpretation of this year's theme, "Lost in Translation."
The Alliance campus, inside and out, will be transformed with elaborate décor depicting travel through different countries and periods in time. Artists' installations will not only elaborate on that worldly analysis of the theme, but also dabble into how people get lost through communication, varying opinions, or diverse backgrounds. Guests should expect to enter a mysterious ambiance created by interactive visual exhibitions, intriguing performances, and culinary creations.
Take this occasion as a chance to peek inside the minds of the Southwest Florida arts community, an inspired group of people with the innate ability to visually represent ideas, feelings and moods. Selected artists participating in Art Royale 2008 ensure the event will be unlike anything before.
Purchase tickets in advance or in groups for a discounted price.
