McGarvey Development donates $32,000 to Builders Care

Donation will help agency provide ongoing home renovations

McGarvey Development Company has donated more than $32,000 to help the Lee Building Industry Association Builders Care program provide free

home repair services to disadvantaged

Lee County residents.

"We are so grateful to receive this donation. It will help us continue our mission of helping needy elderly and disabled homeowners in our community," said Heidi Davis, Builders Care executive director. "It is a gift that will keep on giving."

McGarvey Development Company develops, owns and manages high quality Class A and industrial office space, as well as custom homes throughout Lee County.

Builders Care is the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee BIA. Its objective is to provide emergency repairs and construction services to elderly, disabled and economically disadvantaged people who are unable to obtain home repairs through traditional means. To date, Builders Care has completed 26 projects and provided nearly $700,000 in construction services to needy and deserving homeowners in Lee County. Builders Care enlists the volunteer services of Lee BIA members and leverages grants and donated materials to provide construction and remodeling services to qualified homeowners throughout Lee County. Builders Care is headquartered at the Lee BIA offices at 4210 Metro Parkway, Suite 100, Fort Myers, FL 33916. Donations can be made to the Builders Care general fund at any Colonial Bank.
