Jazz On The Green has new date, venue

Arturo Sandoval The 13th annual Jazz on the Green concerts scheduled for October have been rescheduled for Jan. 16 and 17 at Florida Gulf Coast University due to last months flooding in south Lee County.

The lineup includes Grammy Award-winning Latin Jazz artist Arturo Sandoval headlining the Saturday event and NBA star turned successful jazz/ funk/R&B bassist Wayman Tisdale headlining the Friday event.

Jazz on the Green is two full days of live entertainment. Concert-goers can spread out under the sun and stars with picnic baskets and more to relax, dance and groove at Southwest Florida's premier jazz event.

The full line-up features six performers who are headliners in their own right along with three upand coming acts. At a onenight only indoor venue, these acts command ticket prices of $40 and up individually, which makes Jazz on the Green an exceptional bargain.

Each year, Jazz on the Green adds a few new elements to make the concertgoers time more fun, more meaningful and encompassing the many aspects of cultural life here in Southwest Florida, while at the same time benefiting Children's Charities. Special events for children will take place in the playground area at the park. As always, fabulous food, adult beverages and more will be available to purchase, adding to the festival atmosphere.... And as always, coolers/ picnic baskets of reasonable size will be permitted.
