Guy E. Whitesman has been named chair elect designate of the tax section of The Florida Bar to assume the chair effective July 1, 2010. Mr. Whitesman has been a long-time member of the executive council of the tax section and currently serves as director of long range planning. He is a board certified tax attorney and a past chair of Tax Law Certification Committee, which oversees the board certification process in taxation. Mr. Whitesman chairs Henderson Franklin's Business and Tax Department and concentrates his practice in tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, and business planning.
