Getting in tune with Edison State's new music director
Thomas Smith arrived at Edison State College in Fort Myers in late August, to become only the second music director in the school's history. He moved into the office that Dennis Hill had occupied as music director for more than 30 years. Full Story
First Street downtown open, Second Street now closed
First Street in downtown Fort Myers is open to through traffic after months of construction. Old, refurbished bricks have been cleaned and reused in the streetscape portion of the utility replacement project. Community leaders and supporters of the PACE Center for Girls will "honor the female spirit" at the second annual Portraits of PACE luncheon Thursday, Nov. 13, at the International Design Center in Estero.
