SWFAS talent show Nov. 15
Southwest Florida Addiction Services is looking for some talented middle and high school students to participate in the "Every Child Is a Star Talent Show" Saturday, Nov. 15, in Fort Myers.
It's the second year SWFAS has coordinated the talent show, which will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at First Christian Church, 2061 McGregor Blvd. There are no entry fees, and cash prizes of $100 for first place and $50 for second place will be awarded in two categories.
In addition to the talent show, the afternoon will include a silent auction of themed baskets such as movies, sports, and bath-body products, and a raffle. All students will have a chance to win a prize in the raffle by spinning a wheel.
To be eligible to participate in the talent show, participants must: Be between the ages of 11 and 19 and be registered in a Lee County middle or high school; limit performances to no more than three minutes with no bands allowed; have no more than three people per act; and have permission from a parent or guardian to participate.
