Funding available for nonprofit youth groups

The city of Fort Myers has $265,000 in grants available for nonprofit youth service groups. The city council made the funds available at the final budget hearing last month. Applications and instructions to apply for the Community Agency Support Program are available online at www.cityftmyers. com/casp. Additional assistance is available by calling the budget office at 321-7188.

Completed applications for CASP will be accepted until Friday, Nov. 14. Sub- mission of an application does not guarantee funding.

The city of Fort Myers Community Agency Funding Committee will consider funding for agencies that provide youth services; basic subsistence programs such as food, housing and emergency shelter; and programs providing the basic skills to promote independent living and selfsufficiency within the city of Fort Myers community.
