Title sponsors named for 2009 Cattle Barons' Ball in Lee
First Community Bank of Southwest Florida and Oswald Trippe & Co. have signed on as the title sponsors for the Lee County American Cancer Society 2009 Cattle Barons' Ball ,announced event chair Theresa Himschoot-Mitchell.
The sixth annual fundraising event will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, at 6 p.m. at the ACI hangar at Page Field.

Now its sixth consecutive year, the Lee County Cattle Barons' Ball has raised more than $2.5 million in support of the Lee County American Cancer Society.
The dollars raised at the event go straight toward the fight against cancer. Besides funding research to find a cure, including children's cancer research, funds help send dozens of local kids to "Reaching Out to Cancer Kids" camp each summer, allow families dealing with cancer to enjoy Families R.O.C.K. Weekend, sends cancer survivors to college through a scholarship program, provide rides for cancer patients to and from treatments with Ride to Recovery and LifeLine, help women find support and valuable makeover
tips with the Look Good Feel Better program, benefit prostate cancer survivors
who take part in our Man to Man support group and much, much more.
With more than 3,400 local offices nationwide, The American Cancer Society is organized to deliver cancer prevention, early detection, and patient services programs at the community level. The organization is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.
