'Hand-Made Christmas' set for downtown Fort Myers

The River District merchants want to make downtown the place to be this Christmas Season. The Arts for ACT Gallery is inviting artists to participate in a "Hand-Made Christmas" event. The plan is to have First Street from Monroe to as far down First Street as possible, lined with artists selling their works. This is a great opportunity, no fees are required and all the proceeds of a sale go to the artist.

Arts for ACT is looking for weavers, whittlers, painters, potters,

jewelry makers and other artists. Artists are encouraged to create their art on site for the buyers to see.

The event runs Saturday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The deadline to sign up to be a part of "Hand-Made Christmas" in Downtown Fort Myers is Nov. 1.

Contact Claudia at 939-2553 or cgoode@actabuse.com to request the necessary forms to participate in this event.
