"Stamps are a form of money," said Frank Falco, a customer service supervisor at the downtown Fort Myers Post Office. They are also a form of history, and as such have generated millions of hobbyists worldwide who collect them for their tiny windows on the world of dinosaurs, movie stars, TV shows, wars, space exploration, ducks and hundreds of other things. Airport traffic down in August
Nearly 449,000 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport in August, a decrease of 8 percent compared to August 2007. Year-to-date, passenger traffic is down 5 percent over the same period last year. The traffic leader in August was Delta with 61,926 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Full Story
