Gora/McGahey named top architect by Lee BIA

The firm was named Architectural Firm of the Year by the Lee Building Industry Association Commercial Contractors. Gora/McGahey Associates in Architecture earned four architectural design awards and was named Architectural Firm of the Year at the third annual Lee Building Industry Association Commercial Contractors Council Summit Awards event.
In the Best Office category, the firm received awards for its outstanding work on the new headquarters for Colonial Bank and FineMark Bank Trust.
Two projects earned recognition in the new Unbuilt Design category. The Docks on Fifth marina earned Best Retail Project, and the Harlem Heights Cultural Arts and Community Center won Best Institutional Project.
The Summit Awards program recognizes BIA members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and demonstrated superior professionalism in the commercial construction industry throughout the year.
A panel of Orlando-area commercial construction professionals judged each entrant on ethical behavior, customer relations, management capabilities and community involvement.
