Alliance for Arts to hold ornament show
All local artists are invited to design and produce an original fine art ornament using their chosen medium for the Alliance for the Arts first annual ornament show and sale.
All ornaments will be displayed, for sale, on a Holiday tree inside the Alliance for the Arts. Materials used should be fundamentally transformed by the artist resulting in an ornament which demo nstrates technical fluency, integrity of intent, and spirited sense of personal vision.
Ornaments should reflect a strong and original stylistic development. The work should be durable and well made so that is has a reasonable life span when used for its intended purpose.
All artists are urged to provide a small card with their personal or artistic information to accompany each ornament. Boxes will be available for transport and gift purposes.
If sold, artists will receive 60 percent of the sale price with the remaining funds benefiting the Alliance for the Arts Children's Scholarship Program. Multiple ornaments may be submitted.
Ornaments should be delivered to the Alliance no later than Nov. 15. For more information, e-mail exhibitions@ artinlee.org or call Krista at (239) 939- 2787.
