Bess Jr. The Lee Memorial Health System Foundation announces the addition of two new members to its Fort Myers Development Council. R. Dean Piccirillo is a principal at HBK Sorce Financial LLC and a senior financial advisor. Thomas A. Buckley is a principal owner of McWilliams Buckley & Associates, operating in the areas of commercial and residential real estate. The Development Councils, which operate under the philanthropy principles of the Foundation, seek to get the word out about the need for medical funding within the local community.
The Urgent Care Center of SW Florida announced that Dr. William Bess Jr., a leader in emergency medicine, has joined the staff of all board certified, residency trained emergency physicians at Urgent Care Center of SWFL. Bess graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and did his emergency medicine residency at Medical College of Pennsylvania. From 1989 to 2004, Bess served as medical director of Lee County EMS and developed the protocol for EMT and paramedic care in the field and supervised training of EMTs and paramedics in Lee County.
