North Fort Myers-based Taylor-Pansing Inc., won a Summit Award in the best Health Care Construction category for building the Estero Animal Hospital at the third annual Lee Building Industry Association Summit Awards ceremony on Sept. 19.

Eagle Concrete Systems Inc. was named Subcontractor of the Year at the third annual Lee Building Industry Association Commercial Contractors Council Summit Awards event. The BIA recognized Eagle Concrete for its excellence in customer relations, internal relations and community involvement. The Summit Awards program recognizes BIA members who have obtained an outstanding level of success and demonstrated superior professionalism in the commercial construction industry throughout the year.

Creighton Construction Management has completed the construction of Creighton Plaza at 1806 Del Prado Blvd., announced company principals Dan Creighton and Brent Evans. The new plaza will be home to Educators Music and Wireless Toys. The stores will open during the fourth quarter.

DeAngelis Diamond Construction has awarded Eagle Concrete Systems a contract to complete concrete and masonry work for The Lock Up Self Storage, located at 22776 South Tamiami Trail in Estero. Eagle will provide concrete pads, footing, slab and tilt-panel walls for the 116,000-square-foot building. This is the second time Eagle and DeAngelis Diamond Construction have partnered on a project for The Lock Up Self Storage; the first project was in Naples. Dave McNamara of Eagle Concrete Systems will serve as the project manager, and Alonso Castillo is the project superintendent. Patrick M. Pilot provided the design.

Owen-Ames-Kimball Company announced that four additional Florida staff members have become LEED accredited through the U.S. Green Building Council, bringing the firm's total number to six. Project Manager Hector Yanez, Assistant Project Managers Phil Yonge and Abel Natali, and Job Site Superintendent Jason Prokopetz have passed the exam to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accreditation.

Westcoast Structural Concrete Masonry garnered three Summit Awards at the third annual Lee Building Industry Association Commercial Contractors Council Summit Awards event. Westcoast Structural won Best Sub-Contactor Web Site, Best Sub-Contractor Brochure and Best Sub-Contractor Logo Design awards.

Compass Construction, Inc. of Cape Coral was awarded three Lee BIA Summit Awards for Best Hospitality project - $5-$8 million, "Best Renovation Project - $2-$5 million, and Best Renovation Project - under $2 million
