Smith The Urban Land Institute Southwest Florida District Council announced that Strickland Smith, vice president and director of operations for Heidt & Associates, Inc., has been elected as vice chairman-Lee County. In this position, Smith is responsible for increasing awareness of locally specific land development issues, promoting the mission of ULI, fostering ULI membership and promoting responsible development throughout the Fort Myers-Lee County market.

GATES announced the addition of

Rachelle Dover as director of marketing and business development. In this role, Dover is responsible for the firm's marketing programs and business development efforts. In her 20-plus-year career in the local market Dover has focused on the construction and real estate industry holding management positions with prominent local firms as a key contributor to their strategic plans, business development and community presence. She holds a Florida real estate broker's license and several construction related certifications such as Healthcare Construction Certificate.
