Smith Zachary Smith of BSSW Architects Inc. received the Individual Honor Award from the AIA Florida Southwest Chapter during the Chapter's fifth annual Design Conference held Sept. 6. The Associate Member Individual Honor Award recognizes an associate member whose leadership, activities and service to AIA Florida Southwest have been a direct benefit to the profession. Smith is a native Floridian. His family has lived in Fort Myers since 1918. Smith completed his undergraduate studies in architecture at the University of Memphis, and received his master's of architecture from Florida International University in 2007.

Lou Ann Kapcin has joined Architecture, Inc. as a project manager in its Fort Myers office. A Michigan native, Kapcin joins Architecture, Inc. with 13 years of experience in the industry. She specializes in facility studies, programming, planning and construction documents and administration. She is responsible for design development, project coordination, project management and construction administration and is a Florida Green Building Coalition Certifying Agent.
