Compass Construction, Inc. has completed Redeemer Lutheran Church located on Winkler Avenue east of Verconia Shoemaker Boulvard. The new facility includes worship space, classrooms, administrative offices, a nursery, and a cafe'. Seating capacity of the sanctuary is 259 and the classrooms hold 140. A new lake was part of the extensive clearing and tree removal to the site. Estimated costs for this project was $2.7 million. Compass Construction donated $11,000 toward the construction of the playground for the new child care facility at Redeemer's new location. Laura Dieter of Compass Construction was the project manager, Erin Olsen the project administrator, and John Macias was project superintendent.

Compass Construction, Inc. has completed of the interior build-out for the new Hibbett Sports facility in Cape Coral. The 6,121-square-foot space is located in the Shops of Sandoval at the corner of Veterans Parkway and Surfside Boulevard. Doug Oliver was the project manager and Carlos Isola was superintendent.

J.L. Wallace Inc. has started the renovation of Fort Myers Christian Center, a non-denominational Christian church and community outreach center located at 3500 Fowler Street in Fort Myers. The project will include the addition of a new lobby, kitchen and classrooms to the 8,000-square-foot building. J.L. Wallace will also create new sanctuary space in the existing building. David Grossman of J.L. Wallace is the project manager, Dennis Tyeryar is superintendent and Robbyn Spears is project manager assistant.

Stevens Construction Inc. has completed construction on the Florida Hospital Heartland Division Emergency. Designed by Burt Hill/Pollock Kreig Architects Inc., the 5,350-square-foot renovation was completed in three phases while the hospital remained in operation. Renovations included a pharmacy remodel, addition of a nurse's station and the reconfiguring of the emergency and treatment rooms. Terry Tjelmeland of Stevens Construction was the project manager, Mike Bussiere was the superintendent, and Jackie Barnett was the project administrator.

J.L. Wallace Inc. has joined the U.S. Green Building Council. Membership in the USGBC reflects the company's commitment to the green building movement and creating sustainable environments. J.L. Wallace currently has two Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design accredited professionals on staff with a third soon to be accredited. President Jerry Wallace earned accreditation in August and Project Manager David Grossman was accredited in March.

Owen-Ames-Kimball Company has begun construction of a new mixed-use retail and parking facility for the City of Punta Gorda. Construction of the parking garage in downtown Punta Gorda is located at the corner of Herald Court and U.S. 41. The project will consist of a four-level, 409-space parking garage with a portion of the ground floor available for retail leasing. The garage will be constructed of pre-cast concrete with an applied brick finish. Other design elements include roofed stair towers rising above the top parking level, one of which will feature the City of Punta Gorda seal. The brick finish and stair towers are part of a design that will create the historic look that is prominent in the downtown Punta Gorda area and that aligns with the city's overall pedestrian path streetscape. The O-A-K team for this project is Job Site Superintendent Jason Prokopetz, Project Manager Frank Mullins and General Superintendent Frank Bell.
