Its ethereal feel was inspired by the city of Shanghai, China. The International Design Center will once again host the Annual Designer Showcase presented by the Southwest Florida Symphony Society. This will be the 16th year for the popular design event and the second consecutive year that it will be hosted by the IDC.
"We were thrilled to raise almost $40,000 for the Symphony Society in our first year as host," said Deborah Hamilton, IDC's marketing director. "As a result of the 2008 Showcase, I have had design professionals throughout Florida asking to be a part of the next one, so we know the 2009 Showcase will be even more successful."
The Designer Showcase will kick off with a Preview Gala in the IDC Atrium on Saturday, Jan. 17. The Showcase will be open to ticket purchasers Monday through Saturday beginning Jan. 19 and ending April 11. In addition to touring rooms and spaces reflecting the latest trends and innovative ideas by Southwest Florida's top interior designers, ticket holders will be able to attend exciting design workshops and seminars. Tickets will be $20 and available through the Symphony and at the IDC. For more information, call the Symphony at (239) 418- 0996.
