Naples National Art Festival ranked No. 5
The Naples Art Association announced that its Naples National Art Festival was recently ranked the fifth best art festival in the nation by Sunshine Artist magazine. The Naples National has consistently ranked in the top 20 festivals for the past several years, and this is its highest spot on the list.
"We are proud that our festival has been recognized for the value it brings to the art collectors, residents and visitors in Collier County as well as the artists who participate," said Joel Kessler, the art association's executive director. "We work hard to present the best quality art from among returning favorites and artists who are new to the Naples art scene. Savvy art investors, as well as those who appreciate owning original works of art, know that the Naples National is a premiere collecting opportunity. And, next year's 30th anniversary event will be the best we've ever hosted."
The Sunshine Artist editors noted that the Naples National "is considered the granddaddy of Naples art shows" and called the festival "one of the highest quality events in the nation."
The 30th annual Naples National Art Festival will be held Feb. 21 and 22, in Cambier Park and along 8th Street South. The festival will feature 300 artists juried into the show from nearly 1,000 applicants competing for a booth at the prestigious festival. The artists will showcase their original paintings, drawings, sculpture, glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media, fiber, pastels and jewelry.
The deadline for artists to apply to the Naples National Art Festival is Oct. 1. Applications are available at naplesart.org and by calling (239) 262- 6517, ext. 109.
