Veterinary Referral Center growing, adding doctors

A state-of-the-art facility, the Florida Veterinary Referral Center in Estero continues to see increased demand from veterinarians and pet owners for the specialty services and advanced technology provided by this animal hospital. Previously, pet owners from this area had to travel to Miami or Tampa for the advanced diagnostics, surgical, therapeutic and medical services, now available right here in Southwest Florida.
The hospital offers 24-hour emergency and critical care, with doctors on the premises at all times, and no appointment is necessary in these cases. However, patients who are non-emergent must be referred by their veterinarians for diagnostics, treatment, surgery or therapy.
"Right now, we are in the process of hiring an additional three doctors and approximately six or seven staff members in various positions. We anticipate a total of 13 doctors and 30 staff members, for a total of 43 employees, in the next couple of months." Said Dr. Laura Breunig, assistant medical director of the Florida Veterinary Referral Center.
The staff of doctors and specialists, using the latest in advanced technology, provide digital radiology and ultrasonography, endoscopy, laparoscopy, orthopedic soft tissue and neurosurgery, as well as many other treatments, including behavior therapy.
The Florida Veterinary Referral Center, and 24-hour Emergency and Critical Care, is the largest animal hospital in Southwest Florida, providing the most advanced diagnostics and treatments available in the field of veterinary medicine.
