Autumn Spalding, HVAC estimator at B&I Contractors, received the Outstanding Membership Promotion award at the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers 2008 Region XII Conference held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. ASHRAE is a professional organization that promotes the HVAC industry and technology. The organization also develops standards and guidelines that are recognized internationally as the basis for numerous building codes and regulations. The award is presented annually to the Membership Promotion Chapter Chairperson who exceeds her goals and has the best performance in Region XII. Region XII consists of 14 chapters located in Florida, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Brazil. Spalding has held the committee chairperson position in the Southwest Florida ASHRAE Chapter since 2007 and has been employed by B&I Contractors since 2000. B&I Contractors is a commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractor with offices in Fort Myers and Sarasota.
