Architecture
Ken Buschle, head of quality control and specifications for Gora/McGahey Associates in Architecture, was a featured speaker at the Construction Specification Institute, Southeast Region Conference recently held in Orlando. Buschle, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional, spoke on behalf of the Speakers Bureau for the U.S. Green Building Council Florida Gulf Coast Chapter. He addressed GreenFormat, a new sustainable design standard that provides eco-friendly guidelines for architects, engineers, contractors and material suppliers. Buschle joined Gora/McGahey Associates in 1988 as a contract administrator. During his tenure, he has led the company's 20-year pursuit of sustainable design. He has implemented environmentally sound practices and oversees the firm's LEED certification education program. In addition to being a member of the USGBC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter, Buschle is president and a board member of the local Construction Specifications Institute and a member of the Florida Green Building Coalition.
