Design in the works for new Lee County VA clinic
Lee County residents will soon be able to see conceptual drawings of the new VA clinic when the preliminary design phase is complete, which is expected by September. Lee County's 80,000 students go back to school on Monday, Aug. 18 - and parents are reminded that if their child doesn't have up-to-date immunizations, they're just not going to start school on time. Edison College nursing grads earn top passing rate
Nursing graduates at the Charlotte Campus of Edison College achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the December National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. The exam tests the competence of candidates for licensure as registered nurses. The pass rate is based on the success of firsttime exam takers. Full Story
Early primary voting on now in Lee County
Early voting for the Aug. 26 Primary election runs through Saturday, Aug. 23. Early voting hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A current photo and signature identification, such as a Florida driver's license, is required by law for early voting and on election day.
