Woodcarving exhibit at Cape Library

The Friends of the Cape Coral Library has a new exhibit, which runs Aug. 1 through Sept. 11. The Gallery, located at the Cape Coral Library, 921 SW 39th Terrace, off Mohawk Boulevard, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The new exhibit will feature Jose Talavera of Cape Coral.

Talavera has extensive experience in woodcarving. He creates unique pieces that are reflective of his individual technique. He has exhibited in Cuba, Mexico and Florida.

Friends of the Cape Coral Library are community members and volunteers who support the activities of the library. Annual membership is $10 for individuals, $50 for civic benefactor and $100 for corporate benefactor. Meetings are held the third Saturday of January, March, May, July, September and November.
